A Festival that enthralls you with the splendid traditional folk artforms of Kerala. Curtain is up for Kerala Tourism's unique annual cultural fiesta - "Utsavam". In this cultural extravaganza, which started from 5th January 2017, the state's rich folk art forms was unveiled in different venues that are spread across the fourteen districts of Kerala. More than 200 folk art forms were staged across the state. The event was concluded on 11th January 2017.
Kadammanitta was the venue of Utsavam 2017 in Pathanamthitta district. District level ‘Utsavam’ programme was inaugurated by Hon.Aranmula MLA Smt.Veena George at Kadammanitta on 05th January 2017. Artist Sreeja and team performed “Pooppadathullal” & “Kolamthullal” and artist Narayana Kimal and team performed “Velakali” on the inaugural day. On the second day (06.01.2017) Thuruthi peoples performed “Alamikkali” & Thayillam Thiruvalla performed “Nadanpattu”. On the third day (07.01.2017) artist Chandupanikkar and team performed “Ninabali” & artist Ramesh and team performed “Mudiyettu”. On the fourth day (08.01.2017) artist Shankara Narayanan and team performed “Sanghakkali” & artist Nathipulam and team performed “Kurathiyattom”. On the fifth day (09.01.2017) artist KMK Vellayil and team performed “Mappilappattu” and “Oppana” & artist Sreenivasan and team performed “Pakkanarattom”. On the sixth day (10.01.2017) artist Chandran KV and team performed “Thampuran Pattu” & artist Ramachandra Panikkar and team performed “Kothamooriyattom”. Smt.Annapoornadevi (President, District Panchayath) inaugurated the District level concluding function of ‘Utsavam 2017’ at Kadammanitta on 11th January 2017 attended by R Girija IAS (District Collector) followed by the performance of artist Narayana Peruvannan and team who performed “Theyyam” & artist Subran and team who performed “Cheruneeliyattom”.
